amisit spiritum thesauros animabus/ photobook

Amisit spritum thesauros animabus is latin for spirit treasures in lost souls.

The title gives a meaning to the spirituality and religion lost in the souls of humans. The similarity of faith but the physical feud of tension between the protestant faith and the catholic faith.
The book is about treasures in churches around Dublin. Some of which contain captures of people infused into the photographs like figures.
The photographs are untitled to keep a reasonable resemblance to viewers and to make them think for themselves what differentiates each treasure.
The darkness infused into the feeling of taking these photographs speaks from a place where religion could be seen as a dark place for those who have been judged for swaying away from the norm of spirituality.
The statues and underground treasures of each church shows a character to the religion or the faith.
It is a combination of catholic and protestant churches, although different names their treasures carry the same look.
Aging scraps of some statues and some still kept in a crypt and cleaned regularly to keep a sense of living objects.
